Meet Lucie
I'm Lucie. Dogs have always been a huge part of my life. Growing up, I was surrounded by them. As a teenager, I got my first German Shepherd Myrtle, and before long one became six.
While living with and training multiple dogs taught me a lot, it was my second Shepherd, Maeve, that really pushed me to learn. Maeve was fear-reactive towards other dogs and at the time, I thought I'd ended up with a difficult dog. Looking back, I can see that Maeve wasn't the issue. I simply didn't have the knowledge or understanding to help her in the way she needed.
Determined to improve things for her, I threw myself into learning about dog behaviour and training. The more I learned, the more I realised that good training isn't about forcing dogs to fit into our lives it's about understanding the dog in front of you and giving both the dog and owner the skills they need to succeed.
The journey I went on with Maeve is what led me into dog training. She taught me the value of consistency, clear communication and putting the work in, even when progress feels slow. Today, my goal is simple: to help owners build dogs that can confidently navigate everyday life. Whether that's recall, lead walking, reactivity or general obedience, I want to help people enjoy more of life with their dogs and have confidence in them wherever they go. Because at the end of the day, that's what training should do it should make life better for both ends of the lead.
